FILE UPLOAD GUIDE

Make a JPG under 200 KB

If your upload form requires both JPG format and a 200 KB maximum, check both constraints together before downloading a prepared file.

Requirement to check

JPG only · maximum 200 KB

Use the exact limit and format from the destination upload form. This guide does not replace or invent portal-specific rules.

Why upload forms set this rule

An image can meet the size limit but still fail because its format is PNG or WebP. Upload forms evaluate the file type and byte limit independently.

How the file is processed

The fix planner converts only when needed, then checks the converted file size. If it remains too large, JPEG quality is adjusted iteratively and each candidate is reinspected. Compression stops with a clear failure if the target is not safely reached.

Validation before download

The final output is checked for its actual file signature, JPG extension, and file size. The tool does not treat a renamed PNG as a JPG or infer success from requested settings.

Privacy

Files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. Your source is preserved. Re-encoding can remove embedded metadata.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start with a PNG or WebP image?

Yes. Supported images can be converted to JPG when the destination requirement asks for it.

What if the JPG is still larger than 200 KB?

The tool returns the smallest verified candidate it produced and reports that the requirement remains unmet. It will not label an oversized output ready.

Is JPG the same as JPEG?

JPG and JPEG refer to the same image format. Use the extension accepted by the form if it specifies one.
